I guess I’m having to break down and get the subscription. InDesign did on occasion, but Illustrator was every time. Illustrator would crash automatically if I tried to save my file to another directory. I had even more problems with Illustrator, and yes, I know this is not an Illustrator list, but behavior of all the CS programs was not good. However, on the High Sierra machine for work, crashes are fairly common, even when I quit the program to shut down, it gives me a message like InDesign crashed unexpectedly.

I have a new Mac Pro at home running Sierra, and not had any major issues with running CS5. I only want to use CS5 because I do not like being held hostage for monthly ransom from Adobe. I just got a brand new iMac for work and it came with High Sierra.

I’ve just gone through this in the past month. I know the solution is “get with the program and subscribe to ID CC version but since ID 5 does everything I need (semi-retired)” is anyone having success running “5” on macOS High Sierra?
